In August 2016, Air Force Chief of Staff (CSAF) General David Goldfein, released his letter to Airmen titled, "The Beating Heart of the Air Force... Squadrons!" In turn, AFSVA was asked to establish an activity-rich program that would empower squadrons/units with options to facilitate cohesion.

The Unite Program was developed to provide squadron Commanders with maximum flexibility to deliver recreational programs that build cohesion for personnel within their unit. Family members are welcome to participate in the program, but must pay their own expenses.

Funding/Unit Allocations

Unite program funding is based on assigned unit end strength, and covers Active Duty, Reservist and APF/NAF civilians in your unit. The installation C3 can confirm your allocations and will make all payments on your behalf up to your allocated limits. Funding cannot be used to augment holiday parties, or purchase alcohol or prizes.

$5.00 per person NAF: Food and beverage expenses

  • Food & beverages must be used in conjunction with a Unite event.

$13.50 per person APF: Activity and supply expenses

  • Items include: Admission fees, equipment rentals, program supplies, entertainment and decorations.

Eligibility

Air Force-led squadrons attached to Joint Base Andrews, to include GSU’s, Reserve units and National Guard units. Verify whether or not your unit is eligible with your installation C3.

Process

  • Complete the POC Appointment Letter: Squadron Commanders will appoint a squadron Unite POC, in writing, to the installation C3.
  • Event Proposal/Funding Request Form: Meet with your installation C3 to discuss your objectives and event ideas, and/or submit a "Unite Event Request Form" at least 30 days prior to your event. The Air Force Services Agency will need to approve the event prior to any funding being utilized.

Have Fun at Your Event!

  • Submit After-Action Information & Event Photos

The installation C3 will not attend all Unite events, so we are relying on you to provide detailed after-action information to improve the program within 3 business days.
